28.12.2008 - Kayuhan Warisan Taiping  [ View Forum ]
A few KMH went to the finale event for the year 2008. The jamboree saw more than 600 riders "raiding" the scenic Taiping town. The 70 km ride was surely an "eye-opener" for those who attended it. View forum for details.

We went up Bukit X to ride and touch-up the DH trail despite rainy weather. Our effort was paid off when we completed two new sections of the DH trail. Thanks guys!

We had a high speed night XC along the river trail to Tesco. The ride was fast that we completed the course before 11 pm having started at close to 10.

6 of us decided to go and check Bukit X after the monsoon subsided. The trail is still intact. We completed a new section of the trail to add some more fun to it.

KMH telah menghantar 1 wakil, Ramizu Daud untuk kategori Men Master bagi acara ini. Keadaan trail sememangnya mencabar telah diburukkan lagi dengan selut, akar timbul dan batu setelah hujan lebat selama beberapa hari di Kuala Lumpur. Beliau berjaya mendapat tempat ke-9.  Laporan penuh disini.

It has been a very long time since we had our urban assault in the heart of Kota Bharu town. We had a wonderful moments of free riding session jumping from the stadium stage, hopping and all. The ride was 31 km full of fun.

We hit the river trail again tonight. What can I say, it was challenging. Total ride was 15 km, shorter than last time because we have divert into another route on the way back.

Those lines are looking clearer now. Thanks to the hard work of Tok Penghulu the trail builders and the trail testers, Bukit X is now being slowly transformed into a DH trail. Works are still being done onto the trail to add more fun to it. Kudos to all.

31.10.2008 - Finally, a DH Trail in KB  [ View Forum ]
During the past 2 weeks, KMH has been exploring and shaping a new DH trail in Kota Bharu. The location will remain secret for now until we have completed the course. From top to bottom of the hill, it will be a 1 km DH ride with lots of rock gardens, big boulders, drops, berms and all. Getting to the top requires a bit of pushing, but going downhill after that is really good. Keep visiting this website for updates.

This year they've called it Ride the Sahara. Four KMH members joined the crowd of close to 800 people for the 60 km thrill ride.

We've decided to head again into our Chempaka Trail, riding and maintaining it, and not to mention jumping and flying on it. The trail head looks better now, except some fallen branches on some parts of the trail.

Pkl. 9.00am kesemua diaorang telah sampai kat Chenulang dari KB. Setelah bersarapan dengan nasi lemak yang orang rumah aku sediakan,kami semua berkemas dan memulakan kayuhan melaui Kg. 4 KMH decided to jump into the Chempaka Trail after a long Puasa break. We did a round on the trail and found out that it needs repair and maintenance. The jump was fun though.

After resting for a while, we decided to dash into Chempaka Trail after Terawikh prayer. We managed to complete a few laps before we proceeded to a nearby restaurant for a taste of "Colek". "Colek" is a Kelantanese delicacy which normaly served famous during the Ramadhan.

Alhamdulillah, race dah pun selesai dan semua berjalan dengan lancar. Pihak kami ingin mengucapkan syabas kepada semua pemenang, dan setinggi-tinggi penghargaan kepada pihak UiTM Kelantan atas kepercayaan yang diberikan kepada Kelantan MTB Hash (KMH). Bermula dengan parit, menyusur ke sungai, melalui kampung nelayan hingga ke Laut China Selatan. Itulah kayuhan santai KMH hari ini sejauh 33 km yang mengambil masa 2 jam 9 minit. Jam 10:45 pagi, kami ke Trail Chempaka untuk menambah ramp bagi membolehkan semua riders merasa. Sebelum ini, 2 orang je yang dok terbang.

KMH went into the dark Pulau Gajah village tonight to complete a 23 km ride. It was nice to be able to smell the sea, and the fishing village. The atmosphere was different from the town area, very quite. We were overwhelmed by the serenity.

A total of about 600 riders using all types of rides joined this event organised by the Ministry Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs in conjunction with the Consumer Day. The event was managed by KMH's fellow friends of Persatuan Basikal Lasak Kelantan. KMH was invited to lend a hand to make this event successful.

KMH Committee spent the whole day at UiTM Kelantan in Machang to recce the trail for the upcoming mountain bike race. The result was fascinating and the preparation for the race in on the way. Stay tuned to KMH's website for information.

13 riders came out to sprint the trail which took about 32.32km to complete. The ride started late at 0945 hours, we've stopped for dinner for 1 hour and reached starting point at almost 1245 hours. Tiring but fun.

Many turned-up this morning to help build our new North Shore style ramp near the Buloh Section. The new "toy" will surely add excitement to our trail. Come and check it out. It is still under construction though but we will inform once completed.

Seminggu lagi xc race yang akan dianjurkan oleh KMH akan diadakan, semua ahli jadi semakin sibuk. Banyak benda yang perlu di siapkan. Pada pagi Jumaat lepas 4 Julai 2008, kita adakan race simulation kat trek disamping membuat kerja kerja yang patut kat situ. Para rider ramai yang keluar pada pagi nie, hampir 20 orang kesemuanya...terima kasih pada semua diatas sokongan yang diberikan kepada KMH....Sumbangan minda dan gambar dari Pokcik!

KMH spent the morning cleaning up the Chempaka Trail. Recent storm had caused a few fallen branches blocking the trail. But it's all cleared now. A group of us went again in the afternoon, bashing the trail despite it being a bit wet. Abe Az from Pasir Puteh also came for a few runs on the trail.

7 KMH went to Wakaf Bharu for a quick dinner or supper before headed back to Kota Bharu. The 12 km ride to Wakaf Bharu took less than 30 minutes. Another 12 km recorded on the way back.

10 KMH rushed to Tesco via river trails before stopping at a Thai restaurant to "refuel". This is a real Thai restaurant, Thai waitress, Thai menus, Thai food of course.

10 KMH completed a 34 km high speed XC ride heading for Kuala Besar this morning for breakfast. It has been sometimes since our last long distance ride. We headed back to Kota Bharu finishing at Chempaka Trail at 11:30 am only to find out that Bro Seli Kpok was reconstructing the Buloh Ramp. Awesome! We lent a hand and had a try of it despite pretty tired.

11 KMH headed for Pantai Cahaya Bulan for a quick ride and dinner, accompanied by a soothing sea breeze from the South China Sea. The ride took off at 0930 hours where 29 km was completed by 1145 hours. Enjoyable evening indeed.

11 KMH dashed again into the night, this time with full moon shining over us. We have completed 23 km of river and road trails. Everyone was fast tonight that our ride was concluded at 11:30 pm. Wow!

9 of us first went into the dark village road before reaching the main road. We headed for the Salor - Rantau Panjang highway then turned back towards Kota Bharu for a load of Nasi Lemak. About 35 km recorded tonight.

7 KMH sekali lagi mengharung malam gelap melalui jalan sungai di sekitar Mukim Chekok dan Mukim Tapang. Jarak perjalanan terpaksa dipendekkan bila hujan mula turun. Trail yang berturap batu dan tanah keras merekah kami redah. Kembara kami malam ini disudahi dengan jamuan BBQ di rumah Kema. Langkah kanan kami rupanya.

14 KMH participated in this event, from MTB on Road, Cross Country, to Downhill. We had a good time enjoying ourselves, as well as a good exposure for us participating in international event like this. Next year, KMH will be back in Kenyir (insyaAllah) for more... Difahamkan juga, inilah kali pertama wakil Downhill dihantar untuk pertandingan ini dari kelab Kelantan. Syabas KMH!

Seramai 13 ahli KMH turut serta memeriahkan Basikalton Radio Amatur anjuran Astra dan Lerun (Guan Thye Hin) sempena Hari Keputeraan Al-Sultan Kelantan. Kayuhan sejauh 25 km ini disertai oleh lebih 200 peserta.

23.03.2008 - Ipoh Fellowship Ride 2008  [ View Forum ]
9 riders from KMH and 7 from UiTM Machang were in Ipoh for this ride, a 45 km (70% uphill, 30% downhill) epic ride. More than 700 riders all over Malaysia joined this event. Overall, the ride was good, but the trail was muddy due to rain the night before. Some complained that the downhill part was too short. Nevertheless, all of us completed the trail successfully, collecting all 4 check point stickers. Syabas! KMH Boleh.

Chempaka Trail macam pesta hari ni. Ramai turun padang sempena Klinik MTB yang dikendalikan olah Am_DH dari Kuala Lumpur. Banyak ilmu baru dapat dipelajari hari ini dan KMH amatlah berbesar hati dan berterima kasih atas kesudian beliau. Harap nanti bolah datang jengok-jengok KMH lagi.

Today is a public holiday for Maulidurrasul. Many turned-up for this event, repairing, modifying, extending and maintaining our Chempaka Trail. Thank you all for your support. The event was held in the morning and afternoon.

11 riders (7 from KMH and 4 from UiTM) tested a new route just outside UiTM Machang where most of the trail are downhill. The trail is not perfect but we managed to make the full use of it and enjoy ourselves. We are still trying to survey the trail to perhaps make it a full fledged DH trail later. God willing.

9 riders went into the dark Chempaka Trail searching for nothing more than thrill and extreme enjoyment tonight. Cikgu Mie even switched off his light to add more thrill. Everyone of us went down the steep slope, including Bro Li Mas and Bro Kamarul. We had a great huha inside the jungle before heading for the Roti Cotek. Splendid!

12 riders braved the wet Chempaka Trail tonight before heading off to Pantai Cahaya Bulan (PCB). We really had a 29 km full of joy, no otok-otok, no oksigen-oksigen. All are well equipped with stamina making this journey a smooth and enjoyable event. Keep it up KMH! Pssst... Even a 45 year old rocked tonight. Any excuse?

15 riders explored new route opposite of Bukit Botak today lead by Mr Hamdani who had earlier discovered the route. A total of 20 km cycled with a bit of downhill and uphill, refreshed by a nice hilltop view of Kok Lanas. Mr Kowa had an accident which got him a 1.5 inch deep wound. Overall, the ride was fantastic. Extreme? Hell yeah!

10 of us travelled 40 km from Kubang Kerian to Kemasin through tobacco fields, rivers, and sandy village roads. The ride started at 1800 hrs and was successfully completed at around 1930 hrs. This sight-seeing session was indeed a muscle-flexing exercise.

8 riders met their blind date in the pitch dark Chempaka Trail tonight. Really are a blind date or shall we call it "membabi-buta"? Those with low powered battery found it "membabi-buta" crashing through the trail. This is the first time since we've built Chempaka Trail that we enjoyed it at night. Awesome!! Shall we do this again brothers?

A few of us lead by Abe Li Chempaka revisited our Chempaka Trail for some repair this afternoon. The trail still looks good, but needs some refinements here and there to enhance it. Thanks to Abe Li for his initiative clearing the trail in the morning.

We did it again! Tonight it was even faster. Believe me, it's not for the faint hearted. Cruising at average 25 km/h into the dark village alley is really not everybody's cup of tea. Our odometer showed an increase of 28 km.

17 KMH member grouped together to assist 34 UiTM students in this second session of MTB Clinic. Wow! 51 riders rocked the campus this morning before moving into the bushes and rubber plantation. The 25 km journey took 2 casualties which are, a broken seat post and.... ada la mamat KMH ni yang pengsan... kihkihkih. Despite new to mountain biking, UiTM students are all well prepared physically. UiTM, you rock!

Tonight's ride was super fast! Despite starting late at almost 10 pm, we managed to finish the ride at 12:15 am after completing 28 km. What more, these 8 super fast riders still have time to finish 2 plates of Nasi Paprik. Sedap...

Wow!! 25 riders turned up for the Grand XC Coast 2 Coast. The ride started at 0800 hrs with a total of 35 km travelled. Nak cerita panjang-panjang pun penat, tengok gambar lagi best. A picture tells a thousand words.

12 Kelantan MTB Hash members were seen dashing into the village road and through paddy fields in the dark January night. A total of 30 km recorded throughout the dark journey. Why call it safari? Imagine bumping into cows in the dark...

11.01.2008 - UiTM Machang MTB Clinic  [ View Forum ]
The event was organised by UiTM Machang, supervised by En Ruffian who is also a KMH VP. The mountain biking clinic was attended by 21 UiTM students. 11 KMH Members helped out with the event in providing support, knowledge and assistance throughout the day.

A total of 25 km of rubber plantation and secondary forest explored by 32 riders starting at UiTM compound at 900 hours, ending at 1230 hours. Kudos to all KMH Members who attended the event for making the ride as smooth as possible without much difficulties. Kudos also to all UiTM students and staffs who are all enthusiastic and in high spirits on mountain biking.

04.01.2008 - Chenulang Rainforest Challenge 2008  [ View Forum ]
18 riders !! Yes !! 18 riders travelled all the way from Kota Bharu to Chenulang (near Kuala Krai) to join the opening 2008 ride. Looks like the enthusiasm is going higher and higher for the KMH mountain biking activity this year.

The ride was about 15 km on the muddy logging trail with 1 injury recorded, 1 tumble mumble, 1 pair of torn shoes, and 2 broken dropouts. We had a great splash in the cool waterfall. The best part came when we arrived at the finishing point (rumah Pok Cik) where he had served all 18 of us a delicious lunch, siap dengan ubi kayu rebus (makan dengan kelapa). Pergghh! Rugi giler siapa yang tak dapat join... heh heh...
